What is Harley-Davidson Certified?

• Harley-Davidson Certified is the name of the program for selling used Harley-Davidson motorcycles. But of course it is not just about the name. It is a collection of checks and services that offer the buyer information and guarantees and therefore more certainty when purchasing a used Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

So what does Harley-Davidson Certified include?

• A motorcycle roadworthiness test, which is the same for all Authorised Harley-Davidson dealers and from which you will receive a report signed by the technician carrying out the test. This inspection includes a 60-point check completely covering the entire motorcycle
• An offer to finance the used motorcycle (if it meets the conditions listed in the "financing" section) with a Harley-Davidson Finance consumer loan
• Motorcycle provenance check (when and by which Authorised Harley-Davidson dealer in which European market, was the motorcycle first put into service, or who was the first owner)
• Mileage check (based on the motorcycle's history and condition)

What motorcycles are offered here?

• The Harley-Davidson Certified program only offers motorcycles with European specifications (VIN code starting with 5HD...). This means that the motorcycle is designed for the European market and meets all legislative and technical requirements for operation on European roads. 
• Motorcycles owned by the dealer (for example, buyouts against account, demo motorcycles). The advantage of these motorcycles is in the vast majority of cases, the Authorised Harley-Davidson dealer has detailed knowledge of the history of operation, regular service maintenance and indepth knowledge of the motorcycle technical condition without hidden defects.
• Customer-owned motorcycles. These motorcycles are in the possession of the customers' preferred Harley-Davidson dealer and have been inspected for roadworthiness at an Authorised dealership. Although the motorcycles are owned by the customer, the dealer has inspected their condition and is the agent for the sale. Unfortunately, these motorcycles cannot be financed through Harley-Davidson Finance.
